This longstanding coffee shop is a gathering place for neighborhood locals and random hipsters. It’s hyper casual, simple and unassuming, with a menu that doesn’t feature a specific theme but rather offers a nice assortment of simple yet adorably aesthetic dishes. Headliners include a sunny-side up egg served on challa bread with a side of a glistening vegetable salad, a finely chopped lentil and sweet potato salad with tahini and pickled lemons that add a nice kick, and tons of small starters like spreads and pickled fish you can mix and match to create a nice little spread. For lunch you can enjoy meatballs, schnitzel and kebabs. Tony and Esther’s is extremely vegan friendly, and you can take your time sitting and watching the Levinsky Market crowds, taking in the true essence of this hip neighborhood.
