Habima Square is home to Habima Theater and the Tel Aviv Culture Center. Seated on the junction of several of the city’s main streets, the square is a true hotspot from which you can reach the city’s southern part via Rothschild Blvd., the city center via Dizengoff, the northern part via Chen Blvd. and Ibn Gabirol, and the beach via Bugrashov and Ben Zion Blvds. Here you’ll find several excellent restaurants and bars, as well as noteworthy bakeries where you can grab something to snack on at the lower-level flower garden at the center of the square—a favorite hangout for locals, tourists, families and friends who also enjoy strolling by the shallow pond. Artist Menashe Kadishman’s “Hitromemut” (Elevation) statue towers over the area, a Tel Aviv icon made up of three circles. In the northern edge of the square lies Jacob Garden, with ancient sycamores and pleasant corners for resting and relaxing.
