Café Tachtit is a neighborhood staple filled with regulars—professionals from the film and television industries, fashion icons, students on laptops and other celebrities who happen to live in the neighborhood. It’s rare to find someone who “just happened to walk in”. Many of the clients call this their second home, and have a regular order. Once located in the outskirts of the city, the café is now on Lincoln Street, which has become a main thoroughfare to the eastern parts of the city since the renovation of nearby Maariv Junction. The rich menu offers breakfast, sandwiches, home-style cooking, salads and an expansive selection of vegan dishes. It’s not gourmet food, but it’s well made and served in large portions.
